NXTZ OG REUNION // Words and Photos by Andrew Mutty

NXTZ has finally got the original team together and had a great big "Thank You" party to the original 11 members of the NXTZ team. NXTZ made its start from a small group of hard working individuals in the New England Area, and after the sale of the brand to Flow Snowboards in 2009, the crew deserved this long awaited get together. Some eager members showed up early on Friday night in Sunapee NH, to be in the woods before the fun began. The guys all got up early and hustled out to play golf at Ragged Mtn in the poring rain, while the girls shuffled around Southern Vermont in search for dinner. The evening followed with a large dinner made by our hostess Rosann Schwartz, who is a wiz in the kitchen with her heritage in Italian Sicilian cooking. Later that night was followed by a NXTZ ping pong tournament, and finally capped off with a special surprise... NXTZ awards. Everyone that contributed a roll in the brands beginnings received a very special award. The Hand crafted trophies were made by Andrew Mutty, who felt that everyone who contributed to the success of NXTZ was well overdue for some recognition. No reunion could be complete without a sneak peak at next years.... 2011-2012 NXTZ line. Dale Rehberg was very gracious in sending the newest product to the team, and people were stoked. A great weekend for everyone involved and many good wish's to the originals, and to the current NXTZ lovers! PARKER WHITE, not BLACK

Ok folks..since most of the NXTZ crusade choses to use one plank to get down the mountain, I decided it is time to get with the 2 plank version of vertical decent.  With that said, let me introduce to you our main man Parker White!  Parker is not just another ski kid getting down with the urban scene on his skis, he is a well rounded, insane, next level guy who is prob. better than you on a skateboard.  Check his joint out in Level 1 productions new flick "AFTER DARK" and get ready to be hearing and seeing allot more of this humble bad ass!  Enjoy!

Carson Grier / Art Show / Oct. 6th--be there!

As you may or may not know, San Clemente local artist Carson Grier is making moves.  Carson did a collab with NXTZ on a piece for this current season and we are super excited about it...and thursday, Oct. 6th is your chance to go check out his work in person!  If your around the So. Cal. area don't miss this art show.  Not only is Carson showing off some of his one of a kind art, but photography from Lindsey Byrnes and Klee Van Hamersveld as well as a bunch of other talented peeps will be displaying too!!  Check the flyer for details!
